- Where are your business cards?
I was at a networking function last week. It was a show up and talk to people event. One person didn’t have any business cards with them. Another had trouble finding their business cards. Ugh.
If you are there to make connections – Make sure you have business cards and ask for the other person’s business card.
What else is the point? I’ve been to alot of these events. I’ve found that after the first 20 minutes, you can’t remember the name of the first person you met. With the card, you can!!!!
If you are going to spend the money for business cards. Use them. I don’t mean to pass them out to everyone and not talk to anyone. Gather them up to help remember or job your memory, and allow the other person to do the same.
